Calcutta: 1816 (16 June) entire to Scotland showing fine "KING'S. SEA/POST. PAID./CALCUTTA" (HG SD5) in black alongside stamped "PORTSMOUTH/SHIP LETTER", circular "INDIA/TO PAY" in red and arrival c.d.s.; the King's Post handstamp crossed by light filing crease though very rare with only four examples recorded.
