Wonderfully struck on back of folded letter datelined "Lucknow, 27th November 1836" , addressed to Moulton, England, sender's directive "Per Euphrates" , framed "INDIA LETTER/LIVERPOOL" handstamp (Robertson In. 4a), manuscript "1/3" rate marking, Very Fine and choice strike, scarce to have been carried on the HCS Euphrates which was a British warship
