1826 Calcutta/Kolkata–Koondooz/Kunduz, Afġanistan official letter, originally struck with Giles 10 (ex- CG10)/Lowe HS146 tripartite double-elliptical Pt. Pd. (Post paid) dispatch mark of Calcutta/Kolkata GPO dt. Jul 4 on payment of 1R6A, redirected at Delhi/Dilli to Subathoo/Sabathu and finally returned back to the sender Palmer & Co., Calcutta/Kolkata when it was struck with faint partially impressed Giles 11a (ex-CG8) Bg. Pg. (Bearing Postage) double quasi-elliptical mark (used without internal segments when used in the months Mar–May) of Calcutta/Kolkata GPO for its return from Subathoo/Sabathu to Calcutta/Kolkata and 2 Giles G9/Lowe HS274 (var.) A.M. open type receipt time marks in red of Calcutta/Kolkata GPO. A current account statement originally sent to Palmer & Co., care of W Frazer of Delhi/Dilli, the letter was subsequently sent under care of Kennoy, Capt., of Subathoo/Sabathu on redirection from Delhi/Dilli.
