1839 (June 29): Entire letter from Russell Koudah to London endorsed "Per Overland Mail via Bombay" and "Post Paid" at left, with framed "BERHAMPORE" handstamp in red and manuscript dated (July 4), oval framed INDIA on obverse and framed "BRITISH / FOREIGN" rate handstamp with manuscript 3 s. 8 d. British charge + 2 s. 6 d. Foreign = 6/2 d. to pay; London arrival cds (Oct 30) also on reverse.
