Clear strike with manuscript "30th Oct 1838" date and "4 as" rate added on back of folded letter to Calcutta, framed "AM" handstamp, red Calcutta arrival backstamp, accompanied by transcription of letter, cover somewhat heavily tropicalized, still Fine strike, only two examples are recorded of this postal marking
