India, Arrah, 1831, "ARRAH/PT PD" Circular Handstamp (Giles 1). Faint but legible strike with manuscript "8 July 1831" despatch date on back of folded cover (missing inner panel) to London, England, forwarded to Westerham, faint framed "INDIA LETTER/HASTINGS" handstamp (Robertson In. 1), Calcutta (Jul. 15) and two London (Dec. 27) backstamps, manuscript "1/1" rate marking rerated to "1/-" , cover with some soiling and edgewear, otherwise Fine, noted as "scarce" by Giles
