1830 : H.G. 1 : The letter below of 1830 has the third recorded example of the despatch stamp "SAHARUNPORE POST OFFICE / Pt. Pd." with the "R" IN THE 5TH LETTER SHOWN AS A "P".The letter was despatch to CALCUTTA, where it received the black "CALCUTTA/G.P.O./ Ship/16 JA 16/ 1830" despatch stamp. On arrival in the U. K. it was receipt stamped "INDIA LETTER / WEYMOUTH" (TYPE IN 1a) and forwarded to LONDON with the postage of 2/- marked manuscript being 4d sea rate plus
