India, Saharunpore, 1829, "SAHARUNPORE POST OFFICE/Pt Pd 18__" Double-Circle Handstamp (Giles 1). Mostly complete strike on back of Dec. 1829 folded letter to London, England, forwarded to Moniack, Scotland, framed "1/2" handstamp, Calcutta G.P.O. (Dec. 6), London (Jun. 13), and Jun. 15 transit and Jun. 17 arrival datestamps, manuscript "1/8" rate crossed out and re-rated "2/8" on back, minor opening tear on flap which affects London datestamp, Fine, noted as "scarce" by Giles
